Join The Weeklings, America’s most unique celebration of the music and muse of The Beatles and their very special Friends for an unforgettable trip through seven decades of the timless music of The Beatles including a performance of Revolver — played in its entirety. Revolver, the seventh studio album by The Beatles, was released on August 5, 1966, along with the double A-side single “Eleanor Rigby” / “Yellow Submarine.” It marked the band’s final recording project before retiring from live performance and showcased their most adventurous use of studio technology, building on the innovations of Rubber Soul.
Widely hailed as one of the greatest and most groundbreaking albums of all time, Revolver embodies The Beatles’ creative genius through its diverse sounds, experimental spirit, and timeless songwriting. Experience this iconic album plus legendary Beatles classics spanning their extraordinary career in this 2+ hour celebration including some of your fave Weeklings original compositions — performed live in a one-of-a-kind celebration of the music that changed the world.
America’s most unique celebration of the music and muse of The Beatles, have recently released their 4th and 5th albums on JEM Records, the brilliant Raspberry Park and their first Christmas album, aptly titled “Christmas”. They’re four amazing musicians, Glen Burtnik, Bob Burger, John Merjave and Joe Bellia who have written, performed and toured with artists ranging from Beth Hart to Styx to Bowie, Southside Johnny & The Asbury Jukes to Springsteen to McCartney. They’re also Springsteen drummer Max Weinberg’s Jukebox band.
The band performs and records explosive renditions of Beatles album and Top 40 classics, uniquely arranged nuggets such as “Paperback Writer”, “Baby You’re a Rich Man”, “I Am the Walrus”, “I’ve Just Seen a Face” and “She’s Leaving Home, 60’s classic remakes like The Easybeats 1966 garage rock hit “Friday On My Mind” plus brilliant Beatles-inspired power-pop originals, like “Little Elvis”, “In the Moment”, ”3” chosen the #1 Coolest Song in the World 2020 on Sirius/ XM’s Little Steven’s Underground Garage. Their last “Coolest Song in the World”, a re- imagining of The Beatles “I’ve Just Seen a Face” as well as their most recent original single “Brian Jones” and their latest and 8th “Coolest Song”, “All The Cash in the World” are all on Raspberry Park. THE WEEKLINGS bring their music to life through their extraordinary energy and musicianship, soaring vocals, cheeky stage presence and most importantly, their ability to look backwards and forwards, to synthesize decades of rock into something new and exciting, relevant and refreshing.
The Weeklings are Glen Burtnik aka “Lefty Weekling” (bass and vocals), Bob Burger aka “Zeek Weekling” (rhythm guitar and vocals), John Merjave aka “Rocky Weekling” (lead guitar and vocals) and Joe Bellia aka “Smokestack Weekling” (drums and vocals).
Glen Burtnik – singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist, best known for his work with Styx, Electric Light Orchestra, the Broadway production of Beatlemania as Paul McCartney, The Summer of Love Concert and “The Fest for Beatles Fans house-band Liverpool. He has composed songs for the likes of Don Henley and Patty Smyth, the Hot 100 #2 mega-hit “Sometimes Love Just Ain’t Good Enough”, John Waite, Randy Travis, the #2 Hot Country hit, “Spirit of a Boy, Wisdom of a Man”, Styx including the bands last Top 40 hit “Love at First Sight” and their last Gold album, Edge of The Century and many others.
Bob Burger – singer, guitarist and gold record songwriter whose credits include Styx, Donnie Iris, HBO pictures, Kasim Sulton and others. He’s long performed Beatle and other tribute shows with Glen Burtnik and Bobby Bandiera of Bon Jovi and Southside Johnny & The Asbury Jukes. Burger has also appeared with the likes of Paul McCartney, Bruce Springsteen, Jon Bon Jovi and Billy Joel.
John Merjave – long standing member of “The Fest for Beatles Fans” house band Liverpool and other national shows having performed with Billy Preston, Donovan, Denny Laine among others.
Joe Bellia – master of the “Ringo” drumming style and is a highly sought studio/live drummer having performed, recorded and toured with such greats as Southside Johnny & The Asbury Jukes, Bruce Springsteen, Jon Bon Jovi ’s Kings of Suburbia and Dave Mason.
