Come enjoy an evening with Linda Shields, The Jersey Shore Medium, as she connects with those who have crossed over. Linda realized her “gift” at a very early age and tells us that her greatest joy is in being able to be the “voice” of a loved one or friend who has passed and wants to communicate with those they have left behind. This promises to be an evening with many surprises! Doors at 5:30, show starts at 7.

Philadelphia born Richie “LaBamba” Rosenberg has brought his trombone, voice, and personality to the world of music and television. He’s toured and recorded with influential artists such as Bruce Springsteen, Southside Johnny, Little Steven, Jon Bon Jovi, the Allman Brothers Band, Diana Ross, Dave Edmonds, Ricky Martin, John Mayall, Darene Love, Jessica Simpson, and Joe Cocker, to name a few. LaBamba has enjoyed 25 years on late night television with Conan O’ Brien, playing trombone as a member of the Basic Cable Band on CONAN. In addition, he has been featured in a myriad of comedy sketches, such as “In The Year 2000”, as well as developing a respectable cult following in the process.

Highlights of LaBamba’s career include, recording the album, Grapefruit Moon: The Songs of Tom Waits featuring Southside Johnny with LaBamba’s Big Band, playing the Super Bowl XLIII half time show with Bruce Springsteen,, and performing by request of Jon Bon Jovi, at the White House for the televised Special Olympics All-Star Gala. Out of his many achievements, the biggest thrill of his career was being asked to perform with his Big Band and Southside Johnny on Late Night with Conan O’Brien. On the topic he’s said, “to be a guest artist on the same show that I play for on a nightly basis was a dream come true.”

LaBamba’s musical roots stem from a musical family that all sang and played piano, a jazz enthusiast for a step father, and an influential high school band director. After high school he attended the Philadelphia musical academy and spent much of his time in bands playing the sounds of Philadelphia Soul and Rock ‘n’ Roll. In addition to performing, LaBamba has also made a career of orchestrating and arranging music.

    Giovannie & The Hired Guns
    with Classless Act

One of the most crowd-thrilling bands to burst onto the national scene in recent years, Giovannie and The Hired Guns have pushed the boundaries of rock-and-roll and country to forge an irresistibly gritty sound all their own. After building a massive grassroots following on the strength of their explosive live show, the Stephenville, Texas-based five-piece ascended to new heights with their smash hit “Ramon Ayala”—a 2021 release that climbed to #1 on the Active Rock Radio Chart and the Alternative Radio Chart, marking the first time in over 15 years that an artist’s first career-charting radio single reached the top spot on both tallies. Fueled by the enormous success they’ve achieved as an entirely independent act, Giovannie and The Hired Guns have now signed to Warner Music Nashville just in time for the release of their third full-length, Tejano Punk Boyz: an immediately vital body of work cementing their status as an essential new force in redefining the possibilities of Texas music.

    An Evening with the Dogs
    Two-set show at 8 pm
    Doors at 7 pm
Tickets: $25 in advance (plus applicable surcharges), $30 at the door

The Stone Pony is proud to present Dogs in a Pile. The band hails from the Jersey Shore and Asbury Park. After two years of relentless touring and recording, the band has firmly established itself as one of the hottest new East Coast breakout bands on the national scene. An Evening with the Dogs will feature two long sets starting at 8 pm.

Dogs in a Pile is the culmination of a love of music born from the deepest American roots of psychedelia, jazz, fusion, funk, traditional, and rock ‘n’ roll. Sprung from the rich Asbury Park music scene, their serendipitous convergence has made for the kind of kindred intuition its members had only once dreamed of. Described as “listening to a single moving organism,” the sum of its five parts represents an original journey into the peaks and valleys of psychedelic improvisation, all while remaining reminiscent of so much we love of life and music.

The current iteration of “The Dogs” began with University of the Arts Philadelphia student and Asbury Park veteran Jimmy Law, along with his long-time friend Joe Babick, a four-year veteran of the gifted young musicians program at the nationally renowned Count Basie Theater in Red Bank. Lightning struck when they were introduced to Berklee School of Music student and bass player Sam Lucid, who immediately suggested fellow Berklee student and multi-instrumentalist Jeremy Kaplan. The addition of fellow Berklee student and collaborator Brian Murray in 2019 made for the final piece in the Dogs’ puzzle. Their commonality and love for improvisation by way of bands like the Grateful Dead and Phish, as well as a fervent inclination for the study of jazz, fusion and classical music, has helped shape the free-flowing style that is the Dogs. Their unique synergy and joy in creating “music as an atmosphere” equates simply to, as the band would say, “spreading good music and good energy to good people.”

    Ocean Avenue Stompers Christmas Extravaganza

Ian Gray established the Ocean Avenue Stompers in 2016 with the intent of bringing together the baddest horn players he’d worked with over the years.

“I spent my 21st birthday in NOLA, and came back with an itch to bring that vibe and sound to my musical communities of Asbury Park, Philadelphia, and beyond,” Gray said. “The Stompers are comprised of a rotating cast of musicians and friends that I’ve met along my journey, and whom I hold close to my heart. All of these players are industry professionals, high in demand, so the Stompers will have a new face every time you see us. That adds to the magic of providing the audience with a truly unique experience at every performance, while the musicians showcase their improvisational and off-the-cuff chops.”

    CIRCLES AROUND THE SUN

Circles Around The Sun’s unconventional origin is defined by a serendipitous twist of fate. Acclaimed guitarist Neal Casal was asked to record a handful of Grateful Dead-influenced instrumentals to be played during the set breaks at The Dead’s “Fare Thee Well” concerts in 2015. To accomplish the task, Casal would recruit keyboardist Adam MacDougall, bassist Dan Horne and drummer Mark Levy to join him in the studio. That was supposed to be the extent of it. Fast forward to the recordings being played over the stadium’s PA at the shows. The response from the audience was uniformly resounding, quite literally blowing up the internet with questions as to where this magical music came from and ultimately pleas for more.

To appease the demand, Circles Around The Sun released those recordings as their debut album, ‘Interludes for the Dead.’ It was followed by several acclaimed live performances. Again, the response was so positive, and the band was having so much fun making music together, that they decided to keep going. Indeed, the chemistry of the four musicians was instant and undeniable.

Circles Around the Sun—often shortened to CATS—returned to the studio in 2018 to record the double album, ‘Let It Wander,’ offering seven focused performances filled with imaginative musical turns and electrifying improvisation. Rolling Stone wrote: “‘Let It Wander’ is a set of even deeper spells that thread suggestions of Little Feat–style grooves and Bernie Worrell’s percolating synthesizers in Parliament-Funkadelic through the German mid-Seventies space travel of Tangerine Dream and the offbeat churn of the Dead’s “Estimated Prophet.'”

More tours followed, including sold out headline shows across the country, support dates playing theaters with Greensky Bluegrass and high profile festival appearances. The band recorded an EP with drummer Joe Russo, as well as, a follow up full-length album with producer Jim Scott. With their future appearing brighter than ever, fate once again intervened. This time it wouldn’t be as kind. Co-founder/guitarist Neal Casal unexpectedly passed away in August 2019, leaving the band’s future in question. After much soul-searching and per wishes Casal left behind for the band to continue in his absence, Circles Around the Sun has continued to record and tour, releasing their self-titled third LP in 2020 that had be tracked prior to Casal’s passing. In 2022, the band added John Lee Shannon as a permanent member on guitar who, fittingly, was among Casal’s favorite young guitarists.

The band’s most recent single, “Language,” a collaboration with harpist Mikaela Davis was released in March 2022 and offers a sneak peak at new music being recorded for an album release in Fall 2022. On the touring front, Circles Around The Sun recently completed a cross-country U.S. tour with many more club and festival dates planned for the remainder of the year, including appearances at Sacred Rose Festival, Whale Rock Music Festival and Santa Cruz Mountain Sol Fest. , the surviving members decided to carry on to keep Neal’s spirit alive and honor what he’d created.

With a slate of tour dates scheduled for the foreseeable future and plans being made for their next album release, fans can count on many more revolutions around the bright, burning star as fate continues to play its hand for Circles Around The Sun.

    SEAFORTH
    ABOUT TIME TOUR

Australian country duo Seaforth is known for dropping infectious melodies, breezy lyrics and bangers with slick vocal harmonies that top every party playlist. Through their EP What I Get For Loving You, Seaforth’s Tom Jordan and Mitch Thompson –- childhood friends who take their name from the Sydney suburb where they grew up — want to expand popular perception to include articulate, authentic songwriting that does a deeper dive into the human experience.

“It’s easy to just look at us like, ‘Oh, you guys are funny,'” said Tom, who produced the project entirely from the pair’s home studio. “Yeah, 100 percent. But at the end of the day, we are musicians. We are producing the songs, and we are writing the songs, and we have real stories to tell.”

The growth was hard won for the pair who thought they were on the fast track to their dreams at the end of 2019. Seaforth opened shows in Sydney for their musical hero Keith Urban at Country 2 Country Festival, booked their first sold-out headlining show in Australia, and felt like the world was at their feet.

Then, the harsh reality of the pandemic isolated them from their careers, their friends, and held them captive a world away from their families in Australia.

“It was insane,” Tom said. “We were like, ‘What do we do?’ And we just sat around and tried new things because we couldn’t do what we were used to doing.” They learned to cook. Mitch became an avid gardener, putting down his guitar for six months. Tom rededicated himself to growing his musical production skills, creating beats and melodies for no one in particular.

Lacking inspiration, they didn’t write a song until the end of 2020. They say fans on Instagram were a catalyst for snapping them out of their creative funk. A challenge circulating on the platform prompted artists to play an unreleased song. The duo’s friends in Avenue Beat tagged them. Tom and Mitch posted a snip of the heart wrenching “Breakups,” a song they’d been toying with, and watched thousands of people respond immediately.

“We’re like, ‘Let’s just tease,'” Tom said, explaining the feedback reinvigorated their confidence. “Let’s try and make music because that’s all we have.” “It was the only thing we could control,” Mitch adds.

“Breakups,” a wounded, vulnerable, and utterly relatable relationship ballad, made Seaforth reexamine their songwriting craft and question the direction they wanted to take their new music. “Breakups,” included on What I Get For Loving You, is Tom’s personal story and the most profound song the duo has released. With 40 million on-demand streams to date, the track is also their most successful.

“What we realized is we’re always like, ‘Oh, this is a quote-unquote banger,'” Tom says. “Then you put out a song with such depth that came from literally the hardest emotional thing I’ve ever had to go through, and it’s done the best out of any song we’ve put out. We’ve spoken a lot about this recently that we have to show that side of us, too.”

Most of the songs on the EP were crafted in their Nashville home during lockdown. Tom harnessed his newly refined production skills, and the duo recorded the collection in a small room at home. They outsourced the players, trusted each other’s opinions and couldn’t be happier with the outcome. They see the EP’s title track as the next chapter of “Breakups.” The title tells a tale, and they describe the collection as a love story of different emotions.

“What I Get For Loving You in general and writing, it’s like, ‘This is what we’re doing. We chose this path,’” Mitch says. “Everything that comes along with it, the ups and downs, that’s what we get for loving what we do. If you take a step back, it captures everything and just our journey in general.”

Tom Jordan and Mitch Thompson left Australia to come to Nashville and play their brand of country music. In that way, the fast track led to their dreams with a few unexpected bumps along the way.

“We do have real stories to tell,” Tom says. “We want make sure people know that.”

    ANDI

A performer since birth, there has never been a question of which path Andi would find herself on. Taking vocal lessons at age six and finding a passion for songwriting in the form of theater camp classes at night, Andi has been honing her skills for as long as she can remember.  Putting these building blocks to use seriously at 11 when she really began to write songs and craft the inklings of what would develop into a more defined sound and aesthetic, Andi learned deeply through play as she’d make parodies of her favorite songs.

These steps led her to moving across the country from her home in New Jersey to LA at 16, and now, at 19, she’s begun to carve out a lane for herself with a string of anthemic pop smashes across the last year.

Channeling influences from Avril Lavigne to Sam Smith, Andi gets closer to full realization with every song, her personality on special display across recent releases “Get Your Attention” and “Wish We Were Strangers.” Keeping herself open as she connects with her growing audience via TikTok lives and Zoom meet-n-greets, Andi’s world becomes evermore defined as one of flowing blonde hair and stunning vocal performances that only pull in listeners as they get to know her.

Andi never shies away from displaying her genuine self, pulling inspiration for her songs directly from her own life experiences and displaying them against driving sonics in an attempt to help people come to terms with their own stories by seeing how unapologetically she shares her own.
