ElmThree Presents The Hip Abduction
with The Palms
Evoking the ocean and guided by the spirit of travel, The Hip Abduction pilot a sonic expedition past genre barriers. The band is the moniker for singer/songwriter David New who writes and produces music in between travel excursions and touring. Live shows morph into a versatile musical ensemble consisting of Matt Poynter (drums), Chris Powers (bass), Justino Walker (guitar, vocals, ngoni), and Cody Moore (keys, sax); each of whom have a mutual appreciation for African (Afrobeat/Soukous/Malian Blues), Reggae, and American (jam/electronic/indie) music. Since 2012, the band has played almost every noteworthy music festival in the country, has landed major TV/Movie syncs and Sirius XM radio spins, have 750k mo listeners on Spotify, have provided direct cross country tour support for artists like Dirty Heads, Galactic, Slightly Stoopid, The Revivalists, and who’s highly energized live show have landed the 5-piece a sizable fanbase across the US and Canada.
“Kona Dub-Rock.” That’s how Pepper describes their blend of reggae, alternative rock, dub, island rhythms, and punk rock energy. It’s a sound that’s taken the trio from the Big Island of Hawaii — where vocalist/guitarist Kaleo Wassman, vocalist/bassist Bret Bollinger, and drummer Yesod Williams held their first band practice as teenagers in the late 1990s — to the upper reaches of Billboard’s Reggae Albums chart, where 2019’s Local Motion peaked at Number 1.
Nearly 25 years into the band’s career, Pepper’s three members are no longer merely artists. They’re ambassadors to a thriving scene. As co-founders of their own record label, LAW Records, they’ve enriched the reggae community worldwide by reissuing albums by Steel Pulse and Jimmy Cliff and releasing more than 20 other artists. As road warriors, they’ve traveled North America with The Wailers, 311, Pennywise, and Snoop Dogg, building a diverse community of collaborators and fans by blurring the boundaries that normally exist between genres. For Pepper, each new album is an opportunity not only to pay homage to their own reggae-rock roots, but also to expand the circle of connection, camaraderie, and synergy that surrounds the band.
Makai, the group’s newest EP, finds Pepper leaning even further into those roots. The record’s title is a Hawaiian term that roughly translates to “by the ocean,” and these six songs evoke the sounds and sights of the band’s island home. “Get Me Ready” (co-written by Tim Armstrong of Rancid and Kevin Bivona of The Interrupters) opens the album with a burst of sonic sunshine, while “Sweet Leef” sings the praises of herbal relief. Even the album’s artwork, which was created by longtime collaborator Ben Brough, pays tribute to Hawaii’s ocean culture.
Brough isn’t the only collaborator to appear on the record. Makai continues the band’s longtime practice of community building, with more than a half-dozen guest musicians contributing to various songs. Stick Figure’s Johnny Cosmic produces the track “Stay High.” Edley Shine of Born Jamericans appears on “Dancing on the Moon,” a song produced by David Foral of the Dirty Heads, while Iration — one of the first bands to ever release music through LAW Records — contribute to “Tides.” Together, those collaborators help shine a light on the extended family that Pepper has spent decades creating.
With new music and other creative ventures on the horizon, Pepper’s three members continue to fly the flag for a rich musical community built upon camaraderie and collaboration. There will always be more shows to play. More albums to release. More friends to work with. As Pepper moves forward, though, the band continues to look back, too, honoring the Hawaiian homeland that has always been the inspiration for the band’s art.
Nectar’s Presents Neighbor. The band Neighbor began over 35 years ago – they just didn’t know it yet. Childhood neighbors Richard James (vocals, keys) and Lyle Brewer (guitar) shared fence lines and melodies as they both grew and explored their own musical paths. The quartet became complete with the addition of Dan Kelly (bass) and Dean Johnston (drums) in 2019. Their creative incubation began with a weekly residency that grew in large part by the passion of their fans, the “Neighbors,” who continue to inspire the band as the fan base has expanded across the country.
With a diverse catalog of hundreds of songs, the musical juggernaut Neighbor has become one of the most exciting and unpredictable live bands on the music scene today. Neighbor combines ambitious composition, soulful balladry, and a fearless approach to their lengthy improvisations. Not boxed in by a single genre, their songwriting brings elements of Americana, Funk, Rock, Jazz, Soul and more. The band is putting pen to paper once again as they head back into the studio to begin work on their second album.
Nobody Loves You More (2024) is Kim’s debut solo album, although technically not her first release under her own name (she self-released a five-part, 10-song 7” vinyl series in 2013).
Nobody Loves You More’s oldest songs are “Are You Mine?” and “Wish I Was.” Both were written and originally recorded shortly after the Pixies’ “Lost Cities Tour” (2011), after which Kim relocated to L.A. to work on new songs with musician friends including former Breeders member Mando Lopez. Earlier versions of these songs were featured on the 2013 vinyl series.
First single “Coast” was recorded by the late Steve Albini at his Electrical Audio studio in Chicago and features Kelley Deal (guitar), Mando Lopez (bass) and Lindsay Glover (drums).
Kim wrote the song in 2020 after attending her friend Mike Montgomery’s wedding. There, the house band, The Grape Whizzers (which included members of The Buffalo Killers), jammed Jimmy Buffett’s “Margaritaville” with “revelatory levels of low self-esteem.”
The roots of “Coast” actually reach back as far as 2000, when Kim was staying on the Massachusetts island of Nantucket (quite an unlikely retreat for someone who hates “the sun, beach and watersports”). There, she spent a rough off-season among young surfers who were
constantly “check(ing) the WAM” for water conditions.
The original version of “Are You Mine?” was recorded on a Tascam 388 tape machine, but the guitar track turned up missing. Kim re-recorded the tune at Candyland Studios in Kentucky with Montgomery and the same musicians who played on the original recording, this time with the addition of a pedal steel player.
“Wish I Was” was originally released as the instrumental b-side to “Are You Mine”,” because Kim felt she “could never make the vocals sound cool.” The album version was taped during a practice with Kim playing drums and singing through an amp in the room and Mando playing
bass.
“Summerland” is named after a Florida Keys island. It was written on a ukulele given to Kim as a gift from Albini and his wife Heather, after Kim and Kelley handled the music at the couple’s Hawaiian wedding. The orchestra was later recorded by Albini in a single take. The title reflects Kim’s longstanding tradition of spending winters with her parents in the same Florida Keys house – a trip they loved, but that she did not enjoy.
After their passing, Kim began returning to Florida on her own, and in March 2020 she began a digital collaboration with Savages’ rhythm section of Fay Milton and Ayse Hassan. Kim convinced her engineer friend Ben Mumphrey to meet her in Summerland and procure the
necessary equipment to overdub her parts on what would become “Big Ben Beat.” A few days after these sessions, Ben returned home, the COVID-19 lockdown began and Kim was trapped in the Keys for the next five months.
Kim eventually drove back to her Dayton, Oh., homebase with a new Pro Tools rig and a scattered bunch of unfinished songs and demos. She and the New Orleans-based Mumphrey began working on sessions remotely, taking advantage of the former’s basement studio and its
vintage preamps and microphones. Now able to productively work from home despite the pandemic, Kim continued her basement sessions several nights a week through 2021.
When travel restrictions were lifted, she resumed in-person recording sessions with Albini at Electrical Audio, always returning to the basement for further work. The album’s final recording took place in November 2022, with Albini, Kelley and former Breeder Jim Macpherson contributing to “A Good Time Pushed.” Mixing sessions then took place in London with Marta Salogni. Former Breeder Britt Walford also appears on Nobody Loves You More, as do new collaborators such as The Greenhorns’ Jack Lawrence.
Designed by Alex Da Corte, the album artwork touches on the doomed final voyage by conceptual artist Bas Jan Ader, who disappeared while traversing the Atlantic Ocean from west to east in 1975. Da Corte showed Kim a photo of Ader taken by his wife just before he set sail,
and it spoke to her current obsession with the concept of failure. Now, here on the cover, is Kim re-enacting her own voyage.

Boston-based Westbound Train play a modern take on ’60s-era reggae and ska with touches of jazz, soul, blues, Motown, and even rock. The septet was originally comprised of Obi Fernandez (vocals/trombone), Jesse Hayes (drums), Cory Williams (guitar), Thad Merritt (bass), Rich Graiko (trumpet), Gideon Blumenthal (keyboards), and Josh Cohen (sax). They released two independent albums, 2002’s Searching for a Melody (re-released in 2003 on Megalith) and 2004’s Five to Two, before a demo tape made its way into Tim Armstrong’s hands at a hometown Transplants show. Armstrong was impressed by the music, soon asking the guys to guest on the forthcoming Transplants album, Haunted Cities. Westbound Train continued touring and over the years shared stages with bands like the Toasters, Reel Big Fish, the Skatalites, Street Dogs, the Planet Smashers, and more. They also scored a 2005 Boston Music Award nomination for Best World Music Act, the only ska outfit to be given the honor. By early 2006, their friendship with Armstrong had turned into a record deal with his Epitaph imprint, Hellcat Records, and Westbound Train’s label debut, Transitions, was issued that September. Williams left the group after sessions for the album were complete to pursue a jazz career, and the band soon welcomed guitarist Johnny DeCarlo into the fold as his replacement.

DEAN LEWIS, an Australian singer-songwriter, is renowned for his heartfelt lyrics and emotive voice. Born on October 21, 1987, in Sydney, Australia, he gained international fame with his hit single “Waves” in 2016, celebrated for its raw emotional depth. His debut album, “A Place We Knew,” released in 2019, solidified his status in the music industry with hits like “Be Alright” and “7 Minutes.”
Inspired by the British rock band Oasis, Dean’s musical style and passion for songwriting reflect their influence. His music often delves into themes of love, loss, and personal growth, resonating deeply with audiences worldwide.
In 2023, Lewis performed over 100 shows across Australia, Europe, and the US. He recently concluded a series of global tour dates, including supporting slots for AJR Brothers on their US arena tour and James Arthur on his UK arena tour.
On May 30, 2024, Dean released his new single “All I Ever Wanted.” This latest release follows the success of “Memories,” which arrived in February. “Memories” has achieved notable milestones, including 35 million streams, inclusion in Hot Hits Australia, and reaching the Top 25 on the AU Radio Chart and Top 20 on the AU Shazam chart.
He has received several nominations and awards, including ARIA Music Awards and APRA Awards, highlighting his significant impact on the contemporary music scene. With his distinctive voice and relatable lyrics, he continues to captivate listeners and build a loyal global fan base.
Husbands knows the galvanizing power of an anthemic, hair-raising song. As the co-founding songwriter behind the Oklahoma City indie rock outfit Husbands, Danny Davis has been meticulously crafting emotionally potent tunes about finding your place in the world. His writing always strives to break free from monotony and routine, aiming for meaning and clarity through massive choruses and colorful arrangements. CUATRO, Husbands’ adventurous and triumphant fourth album out Oct. 13 via Cowboy 2.0 and Thirty Tigers, marks a turning point for the band. It’s the first LP written after the departure of longtime bandmate and collaborator, Wil Norton. It’s also an album that Davis made during a time of relative personal stability after quitting his nine-to-five and moving with his wife to Costa Rica. Across 11 arena-filling and richly-produced tracks, the full-length is a document of his growth as a human being and a testament to finding peace in relationships evolving.
WARREN ZEIDERS
on The Stone Pony Summer Stage
with special guest Tyler Braden
Warren Zeiders was still a collegiate star athlete when he released Ride the Lightning, a platinum-certified debut single whose mix of country storytelling, heartland twang, and larger-than-life rock ‘n’ roll launched his career. He continued the momentum with 2023’s Pretty Little Poison. Released on the heels of his 717 Tapes compilation, Pretty Little Poison positioned Zeiders as Nashville’s newest headliner at just 24 years old. He created the album during a whirlwind period that found the young artist selling out his first national tour in 72 hours, making his debut national television appearance on Kelly Clarkson’s TV show, performing on the Grand Ole Opry stage for the first time, landing a spot on Stagecoach’s lineup, charting his first Top 40 hit on the Billboard charts, and racking up a staggering 1.4 billion TikTok views and 895 million audio streams. Produced by chart-topping producers Ross Copperman and Bart Butler, Pretty Little Poison is modern country music at its most heartfelt, created by a young songwriter whose push into mainstream culture has been nothing short of meteoric.
Evan Honer was still a college student in Southern California when his music — a mix of acoustic folk, indie-Americana, and alternative pop, delivered by a young songwriter who’s never been afraid to blur the boundaries between genres — began earning a global audience. It happened fast. One minute, he was uploading performance videos to social media with little response. The next, he was a viral success, earning 100 million streams with his version of the Tyler Childers deep cut “Jersey Giant” and building a following with his original music, too.
On graduation day, Honer released West On I-10, a debut album that quickly led to viral success as well as months of sold-out headline shows across America and Europe. For his sophomore album Fighting For, Honer decided to keep things simple. Turning down seven-figure offers from virtually every major label & grammy award winning producers, Fighting For was recorded by close friends in small studios, churches, Air Bnb’s and living rooms and is being released by Evan’s own independent label Cloverdale Records. With 500 million streams and counting and carving a new path in the music industry as a 100 percent independent artist, this is still just the beginning of Evan’s journey.
Come enjoy an evening with Linda Shields, The Jersey Shore Medium, as she connects with those who have crossed over. Linda realized her “gift” at a very early age and tells us that her greatest joy is in being able to be the “voice” of a loved one or friend who has passed and wants to communicate with those they have left behind. BIT BRIGADE
Bit Brigade performs rock covers of full NES/SNES game soundtracks as their gamer speedruns the game live on stage.
21+
stage.
“When was the last time you attended a live music performance with a genuine element of risk involved? And no, going to a Gwar show with a white t-shirt on doesn’t count. When Bit Brigade takes the stage your mind will frantically oscillate between “Oh! Agh!! Please don’t die!!” and “YES! He’s doing it!!” Combining the dread and daring of a live video game speed run with the spot-on technique of a live band covering the musical accompaniment to everything you’re seeing on-screen in real time, Bit Brigade will have you swinging between the two mediums. From thrashing about to live renditions of your favorite stage themes, fingers yearning to the sky in a rock ‘n roll parody of sea anemones seeming to silently plead, “Please, feed us more fretboard pyrotechnics!,” to being locked in stock-still rapture as the infallible maestro of the d-pad, Noah McCarthy, takes on the final boss and risks his video game life under the threat of intense peer scorn (or the reward of night-long glory and a credits score). No matter the outcome, Bit Brigade must play on until the deed is done – which it always is – on the first (and last) try. Once Noah’s NES buzzes on, there’s no turning back.” – Metalhead Mike of The Shizz, summer 2011
The Sensational Soul Cruisers are not just another 11-man vocal harmony group with horns. While it is still sometimes possible to find a band featuring a similar line up of instruments, it is unlikely that you will ever find another that performs with as much energy, passion, and talent as these guys. From their humble beginnings rehearsing in Freehold Borough at the chicken coops on Route 33 to the basement of the Cycle Shop on Throckmorton Street, this band has come a long way from its “Eddie and the Cruisers” days to become one of New Jersey’s best kept secrets.
Under the tutelage of legendary Jersey Shore sax player Screamin’ Steve Barlotta, who has been the captain of this fantastic soul cruise for over 30 years, who has catapulted this band from the recesses of a dingy basement to over 200 performances a year while capturing the true essence of the Jersey Shore sound and its true R&B roots. Fortunately for those of us that feel that the sound of classic Philly Soul, Motown, Disco, Stax, and the music of The Temptations, Four Tops, Earth Wind & Fire, Chicago, The Trammps and other such groups was and still is some of the best music ever recorded or played live, there will be plenty of chances to see the Sensational Soul Cruisers perform this year and for many years to come. While the band travels to and plays concerts in theaters, clubs, public festivals, and private events throughout the country, they will be spending quite a bit of time up & down the east coast this year.
Over the past 3 decades the Soul Cruisers have been fortunate enough to grace the stage with many great artist from Bruce Springsteen, Little Anthony and The Imperials, Gloria Gaynor, Gary US Bonds, John Cafferty, Southside Johnny, The Emotions, Bon Jovi, Smokey Robinson, Stevie Wonder. As well as being the long time favorite house band at New York City’s famed Copacabana.
ANNIE DiRUSSO
Back In Town Tour
with Squirrel Flower
Annie DiRusso is a Nashville-based indie rock artist born in NYC, who wears the influence of both of these cities on her sleeve. Blending buzzing garage rock guitars and high-energy performances with a pop infused flair, the magic she creates in her hooks and melodies is apparent in her previously released singles and debut EP. She has quickly turned casual listeners into hardcore fans with V Magazine noting she’s “single handedly bringing back that raging rock sound” and Alt Press stating, “she’s set to skyrocket.”
Annie has made quite a mark on the touring world since the launch of her career amidst the pandemic, supporting artists like HAIM, Samia, Declan McKenna, beabadoobee, Djo, Peach Pit and more as well as selling out headline shows at venues such as New York’s Music Hall of Williamsburg, Nashville’s Basement East and Boston’s The Sinclair. In Nylon’s words, “she continues to put out some of the most catchy indie rock in the game.”
RUSSELL DICKERSON
RUSSELLMANIA

Russell Dickerson is known for his electrifying performances and “unstoppable energy fans can’t get enough of” (E! News). After bursting onto the scene, the Tennessee native quickly stood out from the pack as he released four consecutive career-starting singles that reached No. One on the Billboard Country Airplay chart. Since then, Dickerson has earned platinum or better status on singles including “Yours” (3X Platinum), “Blue Tacoma” (2X Platinum), “Every Little Thing” (Platinum), “Love You Like I Used To” (Platinum), and “She Likes It” ft. Jake Scott (2X Platinum). Just last year, he clocked his fifth No. One with “God Gave Me A Girl.” This year, he released “Good Day To Have A Great Day,” followed by his latest single “Bones,” which was the biggest radio debut of his career.

John Butler
G. Love & Special Sauce
Donavon Frankenreiter
Formed by Chadwick Stokes and Brad Corrigan while in college in Vermont DISPATCH have
forged their own path outside the mainstream music industry as one of the most successful
artists in the roots rock scene. Over the course of a slew of acclaimed studio and live albums
and countless tours and festivals, the band has gone on to become one of biggest success
stories in independent music history, selling out three nights at Madison Square Garden and
drawing over 100,000 fans to a massive outdoor show in their adopted hometown of Boston
without any traditional radio or major label support.
This year, they will embark on a US Summer Tour alongside John Butler (with band). DISPATCH
and John Butler will also be joined by G. Love & Special Sauce, Donavon Frankenreiter, and
Illiterate Light on select dates.
Throughout their rise, DISPATCH has taken every opportunity to use their success for good,
launching charitable organizations to fight inequality and mass incarceration, raising funds and
awareness for environmental causes, schools and hospitals on the road, and even traveling as
far afield as Zimbabwe to work with children and communities in need. Chadwick Stokes’ Calling
All Crows joins bands and fans together in collective activism that has raised more than half a
million dollars for feminist movements, while Brad Corrigan’s Love Light + Melody helps amplify
the stories of children who live in extreme poverty.

At this point, the Menzingers are an absolute institution. The Philadelphia punk legends’ multi-decade reputation as road warriors with an unbeatable catalog is cemented as hard truth—and their seventh album, Some Of It Was True, stands as their most immediate-sounding and energetic record to date. The follow-up to 2019’s sensational Hello Exile accomplishes the daunting task of capturing the Menzingers’ distinctive live energy in the confines of the studio, resulting in a sound that’s both rich, raw, and complementary to the group’s increasingly prismatic songwriting approach. More than 15 years in, the Menzingers are still holding their listeners square in the immediate present.
