Quality Living, a five-piece indie rock band from New Jersey, made their new album Glacier in a garage full of office supplies over the course of two years. It takes place in dingy hotel rooms, low-lit bars, autumn woods, deep blue living rooms, bonfires, turnpikes, purple front lawns, and barefoot snowdrifts. Its characters teeter between tenderness and whiplash, and so does the sound, blending Modest Mouse-era indie rock with equal parts country twang and post-hardcore grit — pedal steel and blown-out synths, distorted riffs and bittersweet melodies, restless songs that feel warm and familiar on the first listen. It’s an appropriate backdrop for a record that circles the messy middle of personal change.

The live show brings that range to life, swinging from full-tilt, 190-BPM energy to moments that turn expansive and earthy, all built on heartfelt hooks and structures that hover between pop and experiment. 2026 was spent sharpening these songs in packed rooms across Jersey City and Hoboken, plus a debut at House of Independents.

On October 24, one night after the record drops, Quality Living come to Wonder Bar to celebrate the release of Glacier with Halogens, Teenage Halloween, and Sonoa.
