Asbury Park LIVE returns to the 1st Avenue Greenspace (right next to Mogo) every Wednesday beginging 6/29. This series is known for showcasing Asbury Park’s incredibly talented local musicians, while also giving back to the local music community through The Asbury Park Music Foundation. The series raises funds to provide music camps to underserved area youth courtesy of Lakehouse Music Academy and other organizations. Many students use this opportunity to springboard into further music education and scholarships through the academy.
Past donations have also been able to: purchase and install a new sound booth for the Hip Hop Institute Recording Studio at the Boys and Girls Club in Asbury Park, launch the first Latino Experience Summer Camp with scholarships for continuing education, and provide scholarships to participate in the Asbury Park Music Foundation – Songwriters Camp with well-respected professional musicians. The return of the series will consist of nine concerts on Wednesday evenings between June 29th and August 31st 2022 from 7:00Pm until 10PM at the 1st Avenue Greenspace on The Asbury Park Boardwalk.
