Sci-fi fusion trio Consider the Source defy easy categorization. If intergalactic energy beings, upon their initiation into an order of whirling dervishes, built a pan-dimensional booty-shaking engine powered by psychedelic math…it would sound like a cut-rate CTS cover band. With their blend of progressive rock and improvisatory jazz, soaked in Indian and Middle Eastern styles, CTS blends disparate elements into an utterly original whole. A relentless touring schedule has earned them a fervent following around the world, with fans ranging from tie dye covered hippies to metalheads decked out in black.

CTS have performed in a half-dozen countries across three continents. They have shared the stage with a wide variety of artists, including: Victor Wooten, King Crimson Projekt, Wyclef Jean, Ozric Tentacles, Soulive, The Disco Biscuits, Papadosio, Turkuaz, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, Wayne Krantz, TAUK, Spafford and many others. They have performed at festivals and events including: Electric Forest, Peach Fest, Northlands, Gathering of the Vibes, Resonance, Summercamp, Shakori Hills, ProgDay, and Progtober.

All proceeds benefit the thousands of athletes with Special Olympics New Jersey.

Pure McCartney is a 6-piece tribute band from New Jersey that takes pride in all of the detail behind Paul McCartney’s music. The repertoire includes selections from Paul’s work in Wings, solo recordings and of course The Beatles! The band faithfully recreates the selected songs, whether they are studio or live versions of Sir Paul’s catalog. This is an exciting high-energy show from the opening song through the closing encore. These amazing and well seasoned NJ musicians will not settle for anything less than originality and will deliver the recognizable sounds of the original band. The performance is not about look-alikes or gimmicks, but a real appreciation for the music of one of the most brilliant songwriters of any epoch!

JaRon Marshall (of Black Pumas), is an accomplished American artist hailing from Austin, Texas, who skillfully fuses elements of jazz and R&B to his compositions, “bringing futuristic vibes to soul music” as mentioned on BET. After launching his first album earth sounds, JaRon Marshall embarked on a tour across North America and Europe, showcasing his talent at prestigious venues and festivals including Winter Jazzfest in New York City, Montreal International Jazz Festival, LEVITATION/Austin Psych Fest, Jazz sur son 31 festival in Toulouse, SXSW, The Sugar Club (Dublin), Ronnie Scott’s (London), National History Museum (Los Angeles) and many more. JaRon Marshall has shared the stage with esteemed artists like Vieux Farka Touré and Tigran Hamasyan, and has collaborated with Black Pumas since 2019 as the keyboardist and a co-composer (“Mrs. Postman” is his latest songwriting credit), Adrian Quesada, Béesau (French trumpeter known for his COLORS show), BLK ODYSSY. With regular spins on influential radios like NPR, FIP / Radio France, CBC/Radio-Canada, TSF Jazz, JaRon Marshall’s solo project is meant to transcend genres and borders for a lifetime.

GREG KOCH
featuring THE KOCH MARSHALL TRIO

Milwaukee native Greg Koch has forged a successful career as “a guitar player’s guitarist.” He is not only a fiercely creative player with a whole trick bag of impressive techniques, ranging from Albert Lee chicken-pickin’ to Albert King string-bending to all-out Hendrixian abandon, he is also is a clinician for Fishman Transducers and his wildly popular “guitar test drive” videos (4,000 to date) for Wildwood Guitars of Louisville, Colorado have generated 50 million views. Koch also has a signature axe which was released in 2019 by Reverend Guitars, named the Greg Koch Signature Gristlemaster. The guitar colors were given somewhat humorous names like: Kochwork Orange, and Blucifer. He is also a best-selling method book author and video instructor for music publisher Hal Leonard and a contributing columnist for a variety of guitar magazines including Guitar Player. Guitar great Steve Vai, who released Koch’s 2001 album The Grip on his own Favored Nations label, heaped praise on his fellow guitarist: “Greg Koch is one of those rare guitarists that can blend various styles with a light-hearted approach and a tremendous amount of technique. Hearing him play is inspiring to a guitar player to try to achieve greatness on the instrument.”

A power funk septet, WOM is an immersive experience that can only be described as a soulful journey that pushes the limits in the 4th dimension of psychedelic grooves. With strutting guitar riffs, transcendent horns, and heady organ depth, the live performances take you on a cathartic journey where you shed the weight of the world with everyone in attendance. Traversing the inner workings of the human soul, everything seems to be in its right place when the Mongo party hits full throttle.

WOM has relentlessly displayed a level of musicianship that continues to impress both music critics and fans alike, winning awards in their hometown of Asbury Park for consecutive years. With a permeating aura of soulful energy, that illuminates every venue, the band is on a collision course for new locations to spread the love that is their music.

MASHALL CRENSHAW: 40+ YEARS IN SHOWBIZ
James Mastro

Born in 1953 in Detroit, Marshall Crenshaw learned to tune a guitar at age 10. His first big break came in 1978 playing John Lennon in Beatlemania, first as an understudy in New York, then in the West Coast company and the national touring company. He settled in New York City, enthralled by its diverse musical culture, and formed a rock ‘n’ roll band with his brother Robert on drums and Chris Donato on bass.

He recorded his debut single Something’s Gonna Happen at nearly the same time as legendary rockabilly singer Robert Gordon’s recording of Marshall’s Someday Someway was released as a single by RCA. These two records simultaneously broke big on New York’s WNEW-FM, causing Marshall and his trio’s local popularity to explode.

And so began a career that’s spanned four decades, 13 albums, Grammy and Golden Globe nominations, film and TV appearances (Buddy Holly in La Bamba) and thousands of live performances.

Marshall Crenshaw’s musical output has maintained a consistent fidelity to the qualities of artfulness, craftsmanship and passion. His efforts have been rewarded with the devotion of a broad and loyal fan base. Along with touring the country and the occasional recording session, other current projects include producing a documentary film about legendary record producer Tom Wilson.

“This is a road that I’d never imagined taking before, but it’s been an incredible learning experience,” says Crenshaw.

The Shark Party was started by Louis Montesano (frontman of Asbury Park powerhouse Status Green) bringing this exciting new ensemble of old friends, and top Asbury musicians together to introduce their blend of Folk & Rock’n’roll at The Wonder Bar on Thanksgiving Eve, Wednesday November 27th! You don’t want to miss this unique first-time Asbury concert experience! The Well Wish and International Superstar Robin open.
